England Golf Awards is an annual event celebrating golf clubs, as well as individual golfers, for their valuable contribution and commitment to making the sport as great as it is and for being an inspiration to other golf players and all the people who love golf. Started in 2008, the event has been attracting influential guests within the golfing community ever since. It is without a doubt the single must-attend event for anyone interested in golf in England.
The event is an opportunity to applaud the amazing achievements of our players, volunteers, clubs and counties. It honours both champions and grassroots heroes that help the game grow and develop.
The nominations for the England Golf Awards 2018 are now closed and have been passed to judges. Shortlists of the nominees will be published on the Awards official website on Monday 18 December. England Golf Awards 2018 will take place on 22 February. Nine nominees will win the award and their inspiring contribution to golf will be celebrated by a black-tie gala dinner at The Royal Lancaster London, followed by a fancy awards ceremony. A person whose great personality, activities, ideas and innovations has made a significant contribution to golf.
Young Ambassador of the Year
A person aged under 25 on the day of the Awards, who is passionate about golf and represents the very best of their generation both as a person and for their impact on the game of golf.
Coach of the Year
A PGA-accredited coach whose spirit and commitment helps to advance the game by inspiring new players, helping existing players to improve and empowering promising players to realize their potential.
Lifetime Service Award
A person who has made a noteworthy contribution to the game of golf over many years of continuous effort and hard work.
